Litigation and associated settlements have since skyrocketed. Much of the litigation into banking misconduct that led to the crisis, and its magnitude, has run its course. But investors and regulators worldwide have been vigorously probing other financial markets activities that began during and after the crisis, on both the sell-side and the buy-side.
